2021 - The Pandemic and Photography

 Hello folks!
It's crazy coming into 2021 and realizing just how much the landscape has changed in the last year. We officially passed the 1 year mark of confirmed COVID in the US last week and we're rapidly approaching the 1 year mark of confirmed COVID in Wisconsin. It's really truly mind blowing that a whole year has gone by.

COVID-19 changed many aspects of everyone's daily lives. Schools have been closed, some are still closed. Many office based professionals are working from home and now balancing assisting children and working. Grocery pick up and delivery has skyrocketed. Eating in a restaurant is a totally different thing!

It has impacted portrait photography as well! We have though found many ways to remain as safe as possible and still document those precious memories! I'll review and recap some below and then we'll get onto some of the specials I have for the next couple months.

When you book a studio session with Ashley Marie Photography we are taking all of the COVID protocols in consideration. This means we are limiting the number of sessions in the studio each and every day. You will never be back-to-back with another session as we are booking with ample time to sanitize touch surfaces between clients. We have both soft and hard surface sanitizers being utilized throughout the studio, however, they require several minutes to be effective which is one reason we space Clients out.
I will always be masked during our time together. Anyone not being photographed is to be masked while on the premise. It is a general building policy everyone is masked in transit through the hallways.
Children under 5 years old do not need to be masked per the local mask mandate.
Rest assured - you are not required to be masked for your portraits though! I am shooting with a longer lens and we work to maintain distance as much as it makes sense, however, I will still be ensuring you don't have things like stray hair, fuzzies, or clothing mishaps which may require closer contact.

Newborns are still very welcome in studio. Newborn shoots do require closer proximity with myself and the newborn. My pledge to you is that I will never perform our session if myself or anyone in my family is feeling ill or has a recent exposure to COVID-19. I ask the same of my clients. The great news is - there's still flexibility in a newborn session and I have been successful beyond the 2-3 week mark with several newborns so if we have to delay it'll be ok! I also have a fellow photographer that can assist with a backup if absolutely needed.

If you are uncomfortable with a studio setting - I am thrilled to go outdoors even in the winter! I love snow photos!!!! We can find a way to make them fun for everyone in the family! Personally, I'd love the opportunity to do a lifestyle type shoot of a family sledding!

Newborn sessions are 10% off if booked before February 28th. Your newborn session can occur any time in 2021! Our new Newborn packages offer more flexibility and opportunity to meet exactly what you're wanting within your budget!

Senior & Portrait Sessions

Now is the time to start planning your senior, family and child portraits for 2021!!!! Take 20% off for Deluxe sessions and 10% off of Classic sessions. You must book your senior session by March 31st for any time in 2021.

Fruit Bath - The Experience

What is a fruit bath like? Well - FUN!

The tub is filled with luke-warm water so your child won't get chilly - the weather is beautiful (at least 70) and top it off with fun cut up or whole fruits (strawberries, oranges, lemons) that baby can sample. Should the weather not be ideal - no worries - the sessions can happen in my studio and still be tons of fun!

Babies 6 months to 18 months of age thoroughly enjoy these sessions and so do their parents! It's a lot of fun to watch them explore the fruits, splash in the water, and have a great time.

We are offering a limited number of these sessions this summer - July 21st and August 4th.

Fruit Bath Mini Sessions!

I am SO excited to announce that Fruit Bath Mini Sessions are here!

This is such a fun summer session for the little ones. They can splash and play and even sample some yummy fruit!

This session is best for babies 6 months to 18 months of age who are independent sitters.

Sessions are July 21st and August 4th.
Cost: $100 + Tax
Includes: Up to 20 Minute Session & 5 Digital Images with the option to purchase more

Spring Has Sprung!

Hi all!
It's been a long time since I've had a chance to write! I promise I'll try to get over here more often.

There are a few things going on over at Ashley Marie Photography!

First, there's an open model call for couples or families.  The sessions will occur in May and June and you will be required to participate in a phone consult before the session and an in person reveal at my studio after I am done editing (approximately 2 weeks after your  session).  There will be a display of various products I offer including albums, prints, and canvases.  I've often times heard how people get their digital photos and then maybe load them to social media and tuck them away without printing any!  I'd like to show you what heirloom quality prints and products look like! Something you can pass down from generation to generation.  If you're interested in participating please email me at ashley@ashmariephotography.com.

Model Call

-Must sign a model release form allowing me to use images for marketing on my website, facebook, business cards etc
-Session must be at my studio in Racine, WI

Winter Availability

Hi All!
It's unfortunate that Winter is just around the corner - but that also means some fun winter themed sessions!

I will be offering limited opportunities for these sessions through November and December due to the holidays, vacation time, and allowing for family time and prompt editing of your sessions.
Once dates are completely full I will cross them off the list - once they are full I will not be opening any additional slots.

Packages:
Mini - 5 images, $115
Classic Mini - 8 images, $130
Deluxe Mini - At least 13 images but typically more, $200

November:
Weekends:
8th - 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm, 3:30pm

Mini sessions will be offered both of these days outdoors.  I'm currently working on the outdoor set-up but location will be in Racine and I promise it will be pretty sweet!

Outdoor Christmas/Holiday Themed Sessions:These sessions will be offered outdoors in Racine this year.  The set will include options for a more Christmas themed or just a simple winter Holiday theme.

I can't believe it's that time of year already where I'm announcing Fall mini sessions and availability!
I will be offering limited session times and locations during this crazy time of year to be able to control editing time as well as my own family time.  Please understand this means that your date and time are absolutely not reserved until your retainer fee is paid.  There will be no exceptions to this.

Without further ado - here's the fall mini schedule.  Each date will have 4-5 sessions open starting at 4pm.

19th - 6pm

Holiday Mini Sessions!

It's that time of year already (where on earth did that thing called Summer go????) and we need to start thinking about those Holiday cards and photos.

Based on a recent survey I put out, you would like to see outdoor style sessions and preferably a Christmas Tree Farm.

I will be offering the following:

November 1st 1-3pm - Outdoor Park in Racine
November 15 12-3pm - Tree Farm in Kenosha
November 22nd 10:30-11:30 - Studio in Racine

I will not be offering outdoor sessions outside of these dates but the studio will be available additional dates in November and December.

Sessions must be done no later than December 7th for delivery by Christmas.

Sessions will be priced as follows:
Studio: $115, 5 digital images with the option to purchase additional
Outdoors: $115, 5 digital images with the option to purchase additional
Tree Farm: $140 (includes admission fee), 10 digital images with the option to purchase additional

*50% deposit due at booking with contract.

*Donate up to 5 canned or non perishable food items the day of your session to earn up to 5 additional digital images free*

Sweet {Mr. Z} is a childhood best friend's son.  They were cruising through town on their way back home on the East Coast and I met them to chat for awhile and we decided to make one quick pit stop at the park right by the restaurant to snap just a couple family pics.

This little man is the son of two good friends that I went to college with at Milwaukee School of Engineering.  We've known each other for 9 years now (holy cow has it been that long?!) and I was SO excited when I was pretty much one of the first to know they were expecting and helped them create a unique announcement! Little {A} was stubborn at first at just over 2 weeks old - but he came around for me!

This little girl is super close in age to my son.  I met her momma through a local moms group and it's been fun watching the two grow up!  And she's quite the stubborn little lady - but she has to be with two big brothers!
