Fruit Bath - The Experience

What is a fruit bath like? Well - FUN!

The tub is filled with luke-warm water so your child won't get chilly - the weather is beautiful (at least 70) and top it off with fun cut up or whole fruits (strawberries, oranges, lemons) that baby can sample. Should the weather not be ideal - no worries - the sessions can happen in my studio and still be tons of fun!

Babies 6 months to 18 months of age thoroughly enjoy these sessions and so do their parents! It's a lot of fun to watch them explore the fruits, splash in the water, and have a great time.

We are offering a limited number of these sessions this summer - July 21st and August 4th.

Fruit Bath Mini Sessions!

I am SO excited to announce that Fruit Bath Mini Sessions are here!

This is such a fun summer session for the little ones. They can splash and play and even sample some yummy fruit!

This session is best for babies 6 months to 18 months of age who are independent sitters.

Sessions are July 21st and August 4th.
Cost: $100 + Tax
Includes: Up to 20 Minute Session & 5 Digital Images with the option to purchase more

I can't believe it's that time of year already where I'm announcing Fall mini sessions and availability!
I will be offering limited session times and locations during this crazy time of year to be able to control editing time as well as my own family time.  Please understand this means that your date and time are absolutely not reserved until your retainer fee is paid.  There will be no exceptions to this.

Without further ado - here's the fall mini schedule.  Each date will have 4-5 sessions open starting at 4pm.

The remaining availability is as follows:

September:
12th - 8am or 6pm
15/16/17 - 6pm in Racine
19th - 6pm
22/23/24 - 6pm in Racine
27th - Minis in Racine - you *can* book 1 hour regular sessions ****CHANGED DATE FROM 26th to 27th**** 9am, 9:30am open

October:**1 newborn**
4th - Minis in Oak Creek FULL
6/7/8 - 6pm mini outdoors or studio Racine
13/14/15 - 6pm studio Racine
17th - Minis in Kenosha
25th - 4:30pm Racine studio

IF these sessions all fill up I *may* elect to open additional dates and times.

I was SO excited to find out a coworker at my "big girl" job had a beautiful baby girl!  I convince him to come and visit me for a session and here are the results!
She's such a beautiful and squishy little girl!

Sweet {Mr. Z} is a childhood best friend's son.  They were cruising through town on their way back home on the East Coast and I met them to chat for awhile and we decided to make one quick pit stop at the park right by the restaurant to snap just a couple family pics.

This little man is the son of two good friends that I went to college with at Milwaukee School of Engineering.  We've known each other for 9 years now (holy cow has it been that long?!) and I was SO excited when I was pretty much one of the first to know they were expecting and helped them create a unique announcement! Little {A} was stubborn at first at just over 2 weeks old - but he came around for me!

This little girl is super close in age to my son.  I met her momma through a local moms group and it's been fun watching the two grow up!  And she's quite the stubborn little lady - but she has to be with two big brothers!

{Lincoln} - 6 Months Baby's First Year Mini

Mom's (or Dad's) With Cameras Class!!!

After probing around and asking I've found that there is definitely interest in me holding a beginner's camera class for beginners to learn more on how to use their cameras to get the best pictures they can!

This class will incorporate:
-Shooting manual
-Basics of good composition
-"Fuzzy" background (aperture)
-Low light photography
-Photographing on the move
-When to and when not to use flash
 
Date: August 24th, 2013
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Location: Petrifying Springs Park - Kenosha, WI
Cost: $100
Registration opens: May 15th
A deposit of $60 is due at the time of registration.  The remainder will be due the week prior to the class.  The deposit is non-refundable unless you find someone to take your place in the class.

The cost of this class includes all the learning knowledge, a helpful hints book to keep, and one month of follow up via email or phone to answer your questions.

Approximate Schedule:
2pm:  Meet at parking area 4.  We will begin class with some handouts and general information regarding basic photography.
3pm - 4:30pm:  Shooting with "models".  You will be practicing live demonstrations of techniques on each other as well as possibly my child and a model or two.
4:30pm - 5pm:  Closing thoughts, questions, follow up information.

This class is not intended to be a beginner photographer class - it is intended to be a learning experience for those with DSLR cameras (removable lenses) or higher end point and shoot cameras who simply want to learn how to better use them.  I will not be sharing any information about my processing, specific shooting techniques, or other business related items.

Summer Schedule!!!!

Now is the time to book your summer sessions!!!  I anticipate to fill up quickly and with our new baby arriving any time I will be limiting my number of sessions!  $50 deposit is due within 7 days of booking (you can pay through the link or write a check).  It is *possible* I may open more times if these fill up but only after I see how things are going once baby arrives and I start shooting again!

This little guy was a picture perfect newborn at 8 days old!  Very sleepy until the very end :).
I first met his mama shooting a wedding back in November 2012 and I've been looking forward to capturing this little guy's newborn pics for months!!!

Carrell Newborn

This little man came in at just about 2 weeks old.  Usually this is stretching it for newborns and he proved that true!  He was wide awake the WHOLE time :) But he wasn't unhappy with us - just showing us his pretty little eyes!

{Maya & Bruce}

I've been friends with Maya & Bruce's aunt & uncle for years now - we went to college together and they are pretty awesome people!  I've know their parents for a few years now and was super excited when they schedule this appointment for the kids!

Maya is such a sweet little girl - so shy at first then all about putting on the tutu and posing for us and holding her little brother and telling me all about her morning and favorite things to do!

Bruce was a champ for being just over 6 weeks old which is typically a tough age for little ones :) He for the most part allowed us to do almost anything we wanted as long as we kept his paci and bottle close by for a little bribery when needed!

I did Evan's newborn photos last April and he's been a participant in my Baby's First Year plan as well so I've gotten the pleasure of seeing him grow every three months!  He's gotten such a personality (and notoriously hard to get to smile at the camera) and is so adorable and fun to play with!
